When I visited Israel and Jerusalem in 2010, I stood on the Mount of Olives. And while I overlooked where the temple once stood, I acquired a real feeling of what it was like when Jesus was here on earth some two-thousand years ago. When Jesus left the temple with His disciples, they sat down at a spot on the Mount of Olives. He rendered a full discourse regarding the temple’s destruction and His return to earth culmination in the end of time. One of His key statements regarding the time of the end is when He said, “This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come” (Ma. 24:14). He also destined those who are believers to, “…Go out into the highways and along the hedges, and compel people to come into His kingdom” (Lu. 14:23). We see all believers involved in the mission of discipleship. The correct way to make disciples is to relay truth to those who need to hear the Word of God. This is not for just new people coming into the Faith of the Lord, but also older believers who are said to be mature in Christ. We seek to help people understand God’s Word as it was written, and meant to be understood. Truth really makes people free. It is the only way that we/they can truly find deliverance in life.
